Café dos Poetas is back to pay tribute to one of the greatest figures of Portuguese Modernism and a key member of the "Geração d'Orpheu": Mário de Sá Carneiro.

Through his poems—many of which are collected in works such as *Dispersão* and *Indícios de Oiro*—Sá Carneiro has bequeathed to us an “uncertain melody” that resonates to this day. His work reflects a complex psychological structure, marked by the fragmentation of the self, the tedium of life (“Weltschmerz”), and an obsession with the “Quási” and the “Other.” It is in the urban metropolis and in the relentless search for identity that his poetic voice stands out as one of the rarest and most intense in Portuguese-language literature.
